NEW Overnight Goalie Camp
Adrenaline has added a new specialty camp for the summer that will undoubtedly fill a great void as far as position specific training. Until now, the Western United States has relied on the Adrenaline Goalie Day Camps as the top training ground for its goaltenders. Seeing that a more extensive and dynamic training program was necessary as the goaltenders in the West evolve, Adrenaline has added the Goalie Overnight program. “It really allows us as Goalie coaches to have a more thorough and multi-faceted program for training goalies that a day camp setting just did not allow for”, Director Alex Cade says. The new program is a four day overnight goaltending experience that will surely attract any goaltender ready to dedicate significant time towards improving his or her game. “We will be able to utilize the facilities and time afforded by an overnight program to dig a little deeper into both the mechanics and technique of goaltending in combination with a focus on the makeup of a goaltender”.
The new improved program, in addition to the various position specific technique and specific shots training, will include: extensive film analysis, a multi part sports psychology program with a licensed sports psychologist, seminars educating goaltenders on different facets of the game including riding and clearing, offensive and defensive schemes, physical training programs including agility, speed, balance and endurance training, and sports Yoga geared specifically towards goaltenders. Goalies will also learn to string their own sticks and take care of their gear in the proper fashion. “This program allows us to truly expand the goalie training model to service every goaltender from beginner to the most advanced level. I would definitely have used this program for a training model for myself.” “One of the most exciting features about the program is the outstanding coaches that it has attracted to work with the goalies. Many of them are successful goaltenders in the college ranks that originally played in the West. The same thing continues to come out of everyone’s mouth, they wish they had this program when they were a younger goalie”
